Centenarian Beauty

Real Estate agent Amy Brown reached out about photographing her upcoming listing, knowing that I have a real appreciation for lovely character and aged-beauty. This Lee’s Summit farmhouse had so much charm, and many of the 1906 original features (hello, unpainted trim!) were not only in good condition, the homeowner had accentuated the style of the older era. I really enjoyed photographing this home and seeing a residence that had been lived in and loved for 117 years!

Colorful interior photos for Homeowner

Lindsay reached out to inquire about having interior photos of her home as she decides what the next phase is… short term rental? long-term-rental? listing on the market? She has put so much effort into designing a colorful, bright home that is basically a love letter to Kansas City. Local art and memorabilia fill this tri-level contemporary house, and as an added bonus… from the 3rd floor balcony, there is a fantastic view of downtown KCMO! Kudos to her hard work and thoughtfulness as this house moves to the next phase!

Little Women, Theater performance

I was tapped by a fellow photographer friend to shoot a performance that she would normally photograph for documentation. The show was Little Women at Notre Dame de Sion and I would be capturing scenes from the show, as well as the cast & crew photo. What a treat to see teenage actors perform so wonderfully, with such talent and voices! I also had the option to bring my daughter, Ruby, along to view the rehearsal. She had recently read the book and was excited to see the show.

Here is a set of some of my favorite shots from the evening.
